388px-Dossier Direwolf

Dire Wolves are large pack animals. If you see a dire wolf on its own, be sure to scan the area for the rest of its pack unless you want to become their prey. Being carnivorous pack animals, dire wolves will likely attack on sight, so caution is advised. However, they do have the capability of being tamed, and are extremely loyal mounts once they are.

Sniffing Edit

Unlike in vanilla the Direwolf will show sniffing targets to any player of the same tribe that is close by, instead of just the rider. The active sniff ability to find hidden dinos and explorer notes can be activated with the dino menu, however only the person activating it will get see the sniffed targets.

Taming Edit

Direwolves use the SurvivalPlus Multi-Phase Taming approach: https://www.survival-plus.co/multi-phase-taming/
