The Curing Rack is used to turn raw meats (Standard, Bird, Trike, Raptor, etc) into Cured Meat. It does not hold cooked or cured meats. Only raw meats. The Curing Rack is an excellent preserver of Cured Meat (Far better than the Fresh Food Storage Pot), but once it's removed, the meat cannot be returned to the rack.

The Rack only turns raw meats into Cured Meat if it has Salt. One Salt per piece of raw meat. Salt is not necessary for the Cured Meat to retain its spoiling time inside the Curing Rack.
